Let's Caper to Dinosaur Adventure Land
When: Wednesday, May 16th; 10 am - 1:30 pm
What: Guided "tours" split into two groups: elementary and middle/high school. Park includes several guided obsticle course style rides and demonstations tied into God's Word. Also, several science demonstrations and displays; some exhibits from the Creation Science Museum. Bookstore/gift shop available. Separate toddler playground is available.
Cost:
$7.00 per person, ages 4 and up
Where:
5800 N. Palafox; Take I-110 south to Exit 5; turn right onto Brent Lane; Take Brent Lane to light at Pensacola Blvd.--turn right; in front of PCA, merge right to take Palafox St; Go one block on right--look for large, black, iron gates.
Deadline: Register by Monday, May 14th. We need to have 20 on this trip (parents and children included) to qualify for group rate.

       The Pirates of Pompeii
: The Home School Drama Club is pleased to present an unforgettable evening filled with fun, adventure and piracy on Friday, May 18th at 6:30 pm at Pinewoods Presbyterian Church 2198 Hwy 297-A Cantonment, Florida 32533. Admission is free, although a small donation would be greatly appreciated.
        

The year is 79A.D. and the entire Roman world is still reeling from the aftershock caused by the eruption of Mr. Vesuvius. Ten mile south of Pompeii, Flavia Gemina, and her friends, attempt to unlock the mystery shrouding the rapidly disappearing children from their refugee camp...

Please come and join us for a night of adventure!

FAOL and CAPERS Joins Together to Offer Classes in the Fall of 2007


      Freedom Academy will join with CAPERS home school to offer classes for our students in the Fall of 2007. These classes are optional. The class schedule will be out in the near future and will start in September. Prices will be changing for this coming year.      
      The classes will be taught by Mrs. Mariah Ashbacher. At this time she will be teaching elementary and middle school students. If you have a high school student and would like to find out if high school classes are available, please contact her through her website at

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS:

2007-2008 Florida Student Assistance Program (FSAG)
     The Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) administers a variety of state funded grants and scholarships to assist students with the cost of postsecondary education. Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program
    Students must complete the Florida Financial Aid Application online at the website above and meet all additional academic criteria to qualify for Bright Future Scholarships. Students have up to three years after high school graduation to begin using their awards only if they apply before high school graduation.

Workshops for Children


Home Depot has monthly workshops for children. Check with your local Home Depot to find out day and time. These workshops are hands-on craft making and is nationwide. Please enroll 24 hours in advance.

 (NEW) Michaels Craft Store has a Kids Art and Craft Classes in Pensacola. Starting in March 2007 from 6p.m. to 7p.m. every other Friday the Pensacola store will offer classes from ages 6 to 14. The cost is $10.00 a class plus supplies. Please enroll 24 hours in advance. Instructor: Erin Eisperman.

Michaels Craft Store offers a wonderful Special Needs Kids Craft Classes as well. Starting May 14, 2007 from 5:30 to 7:30 from ages 5 to 14 years. The cost is $10.00 a class plus supplies. Please enroll 24 hours in advance. Instructor: Erin Eisperman.
