Policies:
In order for Freedom Academy of Learning to keep the guidelines, policies and requirements down to a minimum, all regulations need to be followed in its entirety.(No exceptions) The requirements above are set forth by the Department of Education(DOE) and Florida Statutes. Freedom Academy of Learning complys with all state regulations under private school policies. Please inquire if you have questions.
(1) Attendance is due every 3 months from the date of registration, if starting a new school year. As a benefit, If you register during a school year, then the attendance policy is a combination of the prior school's attendance records and Freedom Academy of Learning attendance records. For example... If your child has attended another public, private or home school program we will be able to obtain attendance records from that school to combine with our facilities attendance records. This will help to continue in that same school year without interrupting the attendance requirement. If you are not able to obtain the attendance records, then the day of registration starts the 180 day school year. An example of the attendance form can be e-mailed to you.
(2) Please notify the school of any changes with your contact information: address, phone or e-mail.
(3) Please send a letter withdrawing your child(ren) from FAOL if you no longer require our services.
(4) FAOL will provide transcripts for students upon parent/student participation. If your child returns to public or private school, I will send either a letter of good standing or transcripts/attendance records to the receiving school as per written request by the parents.
(5) If this is the first year homeschooling, please contact the administrator for information on how to get started or if you qualify under this particular school.
(6) Restrictions: Freedom Academy is a private school and can not be incorporated with a blended school. Blended Schools are district run public schools. Private schools and Public schools differ in their Policies and Procedures. Combining these schools would be a conflict of interest.
